Boon Yoon Chiang Director
Mr. Y.C. Boon is the Chairman/ Managing Director of Jardine Matheson (Singapore) Ltd and Deputy Chairman of Jardine Cycle&Carriage Limited.He has been with the Jardine Group since 1967 and has worked at various locations outside Singapore. Mr. Boon serves on the board of various Jardine Group companies within and outside Singapore, including Jardine Asia-Pacific Regional Board.
The Jardine Group has substantial investments in Singapore with core activities including property, hotels, financial services including insurance broking and banking, motor trading, supermarkets, engineering and construction, trading and distribution. Many Group businesses use Singapore as a hub of their operations in ASEAN and India. Seven of the Group companies are listed ion the Singapore Exchange. Jardine employs some 9,500 staff members in Singapore.
Jardine Matheson (Singapore) Ltd, a management holding company, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd (JMH), which operates in more than 30 countries employing over 110,000 people. An Asian- based conglomerate, Jardines was founded in China in 1832 and has an extensive network of offices in and an intimate knowledge of the region.
In addition to the directorships of the various Jardine Group companies, Mr. Boon also serves on the Boards of other listed and public companies including MNCs.
