Dr. Al Maskari is also a co-founder of many initiatives in her time including the Madeira Knowledge City, MKC, in partnership with the Regional Government of Madeira, Portugal, a centre of excellence for research and development in applied sciences and technology; the Global Communications & Learning Network Corporation, GCLNC, in partnership with Stanford University, which quickly rose to prominence in security and public safety training and services, and in 2004, was awarded “The Winners Circle” by the US Department of Commerce; and the University Tricon Investment Co. (UTI), in partnership with the University of Nizwa, which was established to mobilize resources for higher education in Oman.
Apart from GCLNC, she also founded the Global Institute of Justice & Technology in UAE, which provides training to the UAE Ministry of Interior in law enforcement and security, and the Global Paramedic & Rescue Academy which provides training in paramedic and rescue services. Both institutions have won numerous awards from the UAE Government, Education Zones and Red Crescent Societies.
Her visionary and management skills have led her to be well-sought after by many companies such as University Tricon Investment Co. (UTI), Oman; Madeira Knowledge City, MKC, Portugal, CISCO Global Securities Pte. Ltd., Singapore; Singex Global (Middle East) Pte. Ltd., Singapore; NHG (Gulf), Singapore; Global Reach Pte. Ltd., Singapore; Qatar MICE Development Institute (QMDI), Qatar; and Board of Trustees of the Abu Dhabi Arts Foundation to hold key Management positions on their respective Boards.
